A woman was charged after she reportedly led law enforcement on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle that ended in front of the police department Monday night.

Christian County Sheriff’s Deputy Ryan Lassner says the vehicle was taken from a home on West 2nd Street and located on Madisonville Road; when they attempted to stop it, the driver, 38-year-old Lindsay Kio, fled.

The pursuit reportedly reached speeds of over 100 mph, with Kentucky State Police and Hopkinsville Police using spike strips to deflate the tires on the vehicle.

Lassner says the pursuit came to an end in front of the Hopkinsville Police Department, with the driver’s window having to be broken out to get Kio out of the vehicle.

After a search of her belongings, suspected meth was reportedly located.

Kio is charged with theft by unlawful taking, fleeing or evading police, possession of meth, operating on a suspended or revoked license, resisting arrest, and second-degree criminal mischief.
