A Taunton, Maine, woman was charged with identity theft in Oak Grove on Tuesday afternoon.

Oak Grove Police say 54-year-old Cathy Howe attempted to withdraw money from an account using a fake Maryland driver’s license at Navy Federal Credit Union on Claire Avenue.

Police say she was also wanted out of Tennessee for similar crimes involving $1200.00 taken from a bank account while using a fake driver’s license.

Howe was arrested and charged with being a fugitive from another state, theft of identity, and second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.
