A Hopkinsville man was charged after he allegedly poured lighter fluid around the living room and tried to light it on O’Neal Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 47-year-old William Waters poured lighter fluid all over the living room with his two daughters inside the home, then bent down to the ground with a lighter and attempted to set the living room on fire.
Walters and his wife have an active domestic violence order out of Tennessee with conditions not to threaten any of the family members.
Walters was arrested and charged with violation of an EPO/DVO and two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment.
