Funeral Services for 87-year-old Eva Dell Sanders Joiner, of Wallonia, will be 11 AM Monday, March 10, at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc.
Burial will follow in Wall Cemetery in Wallonia.
Visitation will be after 4 PM Sunday.
Survivors include:
A son, Scotty Joiner, of Dover, Tennessee;
A daughter, Brenda Lee Joiner, of Cadiz;
Five grandchildren, Jared Joiner (Rachel Jones), Misty Hardin, Cambrane Scott Joiner, Blair Joiner Lewis (Tyler), and Kayla Joiner;
And eight great-grandchildren, Aydan Joiner, Ezashia Lynn Jones, Elianna Jones, Elijah Jones, Carter Joiner, Christian Jones, Channyn, and Landyn.
Rev. Paxton Redd is officiating.
She died at 10:05 PM, Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Shady Lawn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Cadiz.
Born December 21, 1937, in Wallonia, she was the daughter of late Clarence Sanders and Pauline Atwood Sanders.
For many years, she worked at the International Shoe Factory and was a friendly face at the Cadiz IGA, where she served in many capacities.
After her retirement, she served as a cook at the old downtown Senior Citizen’s Center.
She was a longtime member of the Wallonia Christian Church.
The love for her family was unparalleled; she was the heart of the Joiner family, a devoted caretaker, and a proud “Granny.” Always busy, she took pride in taking care of her home and enjoyed quilting.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward Wayne Joiner, who passed away on November 25, 2013, and their children, Dickie Dean Joiner, Janie Joiner, and Stanley Wayne “Waynie Bug” Joiner. She was also predeceased by her sister, Sidney Joan Adams.
