Andrew Stephen Gray, 61 of Hopkinsville, passed away at 3:49 AM Friday, March 7, 2025, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN of natural causes.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at First Baptist Church, with Rev. Emory Riley officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at First Baptist Church from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 12, 2025. The family has entrusted Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Gray was born July 16, 1963, in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of the late Charles Willard Gray and Dottie Brown Gray. Andrew was an accountant at Flynn Enterprises for 37 years. He was a saxophone player in the Pennyrile Community Band. Andrew was an active member of First Baptist Church, where he was a Chairman of the Deacons and the “Music Man” for First Baptist Church Children’s Sunday School and Preschool Choir. Andrew was a talented musician, playing piano and bass guitar and singing in Pennyrile Players, Brighter Touch of Orange, and the Singing Witnesses Quartet. He was a loyal member of Big Blue Nation and the ultimate cheerleader for his girls, never missing a performance. In addition to his father, Andrew is preceded in death by his wife, Melissa Ann Yates Gray, in 2013.
In addition to his mom, Dottie Gray of Hopkinsville, he is survived by his daughters, Lindsay Elizabeth Walker and her husband, Quinton, and Andrea Gray Armour and her husband, Will, both of Hopkinsville, KY; his sister, Amy Gray Van Heyningen and her husband, Mike of Rochester, IN, and Jane Gray Boley and her husband, Brian of Hopkinsville; his nephews, Will Van Heyningen of Rochester, IN, and Noah Boley of Hopkinsville, KY; and his granddaughter, Annslee Drew Armour.
