
With potential severe weather set to impact the area, several shelters are open across the region. Here is the latest list as we have it at this time.

Canton Baptist Church – 423 Boyd’s Landing Road
Oak Grove Baptist Church – 45 Floyd Sumner Road

Blue Springs Baptist Church – 5092 Blackhawk Road, Princeton
Roaring Spring Christian Church – 228 Military Road, Herndon

Note – No animal sheltering will be possible at these locations.

Trigg County Courthouse, 38 Main Street – Pets Will Be Allowed. However, they must be leashed and the owner will be responsible for any care/cleanup that is required. Enter the basement from the back of the courthouse down the concrete steps.
Christian County Shelter Locations
First Baptist Church – Volunteers will open the church basement at 10 PM, as the major weather is expected after midnight, and will remain on site until any tornado watch has been lifted. The entrance is next to the bell tower (E 16th Street & South Main). We cannot accommodate pets at this time, and we are a smoke/vape free facility.
Crofton tornado shelter is open now unmanned. There will be city members and volunteers there at 8pm. Pets are allowed on a leash and muzzle or in a crate.
Oak Grove Community Center will open tonight at 10pm.
