Anna Lewis, 94, of Hopkinsville

Mrs. Anna Bell Lewis peacefully transitioned into her new home in glory, on Friday, March 14, 2025. She was born May 26, 1930, in Christian County, KY to the late Stanley Merriweather and Mary Lou Smith. Anna at a young age met and married the love of her life, Charles Edwin Lewis. From their union, two children were born. In their middle age years, they made the significant decision to uproot from Chicago, Illinois, and relocate to Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Their primary motivation was to dedicate their lives to raising their four grandchildren, ensuring they had a loving and supportive environment as they grew up.

Anna loved her family & close friends, loved to cook, dance and enjoyed life. She was the life of the party! She brought joy and laughter to all those who knew her. To many, she was a mentor, a mother figure, a prayer warrior, a best friend and an inspiration. She loved those who were apart of her life…and not only did she show it, but many felt it.

She was a faithful servant and oldest member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church in Hopkinsville, KY for many years. She was the president of the Mothers Board and a “Mother” to many in her church home.
