Record 2024 Rodeo For Christian County Cattleman’s Association

A successful rodeo in 2024 and the election of new officers highlighted the Christian County Cattleman’s spring meeting on Tuesday night.

Cattleman’s Rodeo Chairman Jason Jenkins reported the 2024 rodeo raised more than $30,000 to help fund scholarships.

click to download audioCattleman’s Association Officer Committee chairman Craig Richardson announced that Jack Oram will take over as president, Don Pemberton was named vice-president, and Lanny Boyd will remain the secretary-treasurer.

Incoming President Jack Oram recognized retiring President Caleb Johnson for his service.

Oram also presented a membership jacket to Matt Futtrell for assisting the organization.

Following a beef brisket dinner heard from Purina about the importance of proper minerals in the diet of cattle.
