Christian County To Purchase Math Curriculum

Christian County Public Schools will be spending over six hundred thousand dollars on a math instructional program for elementary schools. The School Board voted Thursday night to purchase the SAVVAS enVision program at the recommendation of a teacher committee.

Assistant Superintendent Jessica Addison says the purchase will meet an unfunded mandate from the state legislature.

In other business, the School Board approved annual bids and vendor contracts for gas, mulch, and physicals as well as the 2025-2026 school fees, closed out the Electric Bus Infrastructure project, and revised the paperwork for the demolition of the old Christian County Middle School to reflect the bid approved last month.

The Board also approved change orders for the new Christian County High School project and payments totaling 3.5 million dollars for Alliance Corporation and construction crews. At the meeting, Alliance Corporation’s Tim Geegan said they continue to make progress at the site.
