Barkley Lake Water Customers who live on sections of Adams Mill, East Adams Mill, Bush, P’Pool, and Blackhawk Roads will be without water until crews can repair a water main that ruptured in an area that is flooded.
Barkley Water District Supervisor John Herring says the water main ruptured near 4626 Adams Mill Road and is currently under flood water. He says the main cannot be repaired until the water recedes. Herring says they are hoping the water will recede by Sunday afternoon or Monday morning to allow the repair to be made. He says once service is restored the area will be under a Boil Water Advisory until the water is deemed safe by testing.
Customers affected by the outage include:
1490 to 4686 Adams Mill Road
60 East Adams Mill Road
426 to 1923 Bush Road
90 to 2129 P’Pool Road
4108 to 4506 Blackhawk Road
Herring told Your News Edge there have been some minor issues through the flooding event, but the water main rupture is the first major problem they have experienced.
