Following an early Saturday morning assessment, Trigg County Judge-Executive Stan Humphries said flood waters in, and around, Cadiz have “slightly receded” — but that the community remains “in the mix” for tremendous concerns.

Two spots, he added, have everyone’s attention.

The first: Burge Creek Bridge on KY 272.

The second: the escape route from Glenwood Mill Road.

Humphries said there is still “a lot of debris” on county and city roads, with more possibly on the way. Residents should limit their travels to “necessary only.”
