Applications are now open for the 2025-26 class of Leadership Christian County, a nine-month program designed to develop future civic and community leaders.
Organized by the Christian County Chamber of Commerce, the program brings together individuals from diverse backgrounds with a shared commitment to shaping the future of Hopkinsville and Christian County.
In a written statement, Wende Aldridge, program chair, said the effort “awakens the leader within you, and it’s a path of discovery and achievement.”
Over the course of a year, participants will build leadership skills, broaden their networks and deepen their understanding of the community.
Incoming chair Lucas Stagner said the program “inspires a higher level of civic energy” and introduces participants to local leaders and key issues — issues like transportation, housing, economics and more.
Admission is competitive and limited to 20 participants. Applicants must live or work in Christian County, commit to all program activities, and have the support of their employer.
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, May 20. Apply online at christiancountychamber.com.
Program fees are $750 for Chamber members and $800 for non-members. A limited number of partial scholarships are available. The fee covers meals, transportation and materials.
Taylor Hayes, chamber president & CEO, noted the 39-year-old program thrives on unique perspectives of participants from across the community, because it “removes blinders, and sparks ideas that help make Christian County a better place to live, work, play, learn and visit.”
