An apartment building is destroyed and four families have been displaced after a fire on Pembroke Oak Grove Road in Oak Grove Tuesday morning.
Christian County emergency personnel say a woman called in reporting a fire in her kitchen and when firefighters arrived the building had flames and smoke coming from it just after 4 a.m.
Everyone was able to get out of the building uninjured but the structure is considered a total loss with all four apartments suffering significant damage.
The apartment building is owned by Metro Villa Apartments and is located on Pembroke Oak Grove Road near Stateline Road.
The American Red Cross was contacted to help the families.
Oak Grove firefighters were assisted by Pembroke, Fairview, and Fort Campbell fire departments along with Oak Grove Police and Christian County Emergency Management.
