Two stolen guns were located during an investigation into an assault that started on Moores Court in Hopkinsville Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 20-year-old Kerrie Waddell choked a woman during a fight over him not being allowed to stay at the home then took her phone and threw it over a fence badly damaging the phone.
He reportedly fled the area but was later located on Hazel Street and found to be in possession of two stolen guns.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree criminal mischief, second-degree strangulation, and receiving stolen property (firearm). He was also found to have a warrant for failure to appear.
Police say 18-year-old Lamareontez Lewis of Hopkinsville who was also inside the home on Hazel Street was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and receiving stolen property (firearm).
