An SUV was hit by a train on Skyline Drive in Hopkinsville injuring four people Tuesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say an SUV was attempting to cross the railroad tracks heading towards East 9th Street when it was struck by a train.
The driver and three juvenile occupants of the vehicle were treated and transported by Hopkinsville EMS to Jennie Stuart Health for injuries with the driver going to the helipad to meet with a helicopter to transfer him to Skyline Medical Center in Nashville.
Police say the lights and arms were working at the railroad crossing when law enforcement arrived.
Skyline Drive will remain blocked as the crash is investigated.
