Jackie Putty, 74, of Hopkinsville

Jacqueline “Jackie” Armstrong Putty, 74, of Hopkinsville, died on January 22, 2024, at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Jackie, best known as “Memaw”, was the most loving and devoted grandmother and mother to her children and grandchildren. She never missed an occasion to be present and show how very proud she was of her family. She was a loving wife, sister, daughter, and friend to all who knew her throughout her lifetime. She leaves a lasting legacy that will be carried on in her large family that loved her dearly.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 26, 2024, at Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home with Rev. David Spears officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour at the funeral home.

A native of Hopkinsville, Kentucky she was born on June 19, 1949, the daughter of the late Tom Armstrong and Mary Bell Hancock Armstrong.

She was the office manager for Dr. Howard Simpson having retired after 37 years. She was also a member of Grace Ministry Church. She had been an active member of House of Prayer having served under Rev. Forrest Goodman.

Survivors include her husband: Ronnie Putty of Hopkinsville, KY; her sons, Shane (Kelly) Putty of Nashville, TN, and Jason (Emily) Putty of Nashville, TN; her sisters, Patsy Gresham of Hopkinsville, KY, and Peggy Walls of Hopkinsville, KY; her grandchildren, Lauren Lowder, Morgan Putty, Collin Putty, Cameron Putty, William Putty, Nathan Putty, Asfaw Putty, Sisay Putty, Beza Putty and Keller Putty; her great-grandchildren, Rebecca Lowder, Sara Lowder and Annie Putty.
