Nancy C. Bonine, 81, of Hopkinsville, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2024, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Sinking Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Humphries officiating. Interment will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West at a later date. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
A native of Russellville, KY, she was born July 31, 1942, the daughter of the late Ervin Brandon Latham and the late Catherine (Johnson) Latham.
Nancy was a 4th grade teacher and a member of Sinking Fork Baptist Church. She also worked at the Holiday Inn for 16 years. She was a Kentucky Colonel, Pennyrile Player, involved in Lady Colonel softball boosters, and madam president for Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 3423.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Freddie Elsworth Bonine; and her brother, Glenn David Latham.
Survivors include her daughters, Michele Steel and Monique Hall, both of Hopkinsville, KY; her sisters, Marian Gayle Latham, Nashville, TN, Deborah Louise Lokey, Columbia, TN; 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
