HCCPL Kicking Off Summer Reading Program

The Summer Reading Program at the Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is underway and will be full steam ahead for the next month.

Mari-Alice Jasper, the communication and outreach librarian, said the reading program is broken down into age groups from prereaders to adults. She added registration is simple.

click to download audioShe said readers don’t have to be a card-carrying member of the library and reading logs can be picked up at the library.

click to download audioAll reading logs must be turned in by July 7. She said there are several age-appropriate gifts available for those who read a lot this summer.

click to download audioGuests will be greeted by a handcrafted 12-foot storybook window mural downstairs and a fairy garden located on the outdoor pavilion upstairs.

The summer reading program will conclude with a foam party finale on July 8 at the library.
