The fourth day of the Western Kentucky State Fair will feature a return of the motor cross to the grandstand Monday.
Admission to the grandstand is five dollars — a combo admission that includes access to the midway is seven dollars. The motor cross will begin at 7:00.
Also at 7:00 is the Ms. Plus Pageant in the convention center. There are two age groups for the pageant with admission one dollar.
The rides and petting zoo begin at 5:00.
Attendance for the fair is running close to the past two years but saw a bump after the 2020 fair was canceled due to COVID-19.
Saturday’s attendance of 7,590 was 500 more than last year and near the 2021 number. Sunday night 4,693 visitors passed through the fair gates. Friday night 4,320 attended the fair.
The first weekend last year saw over 15,000 people enter the fair gates for the first three nights compared to nearly 17,000 in 2021. However, attendance numbers took a hit in 2021 due to rain.
