Thomas “Tom” R. Smith, 64, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center of natural causes. The family has chosen cremation with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mr. Smith was born November 28, 1958, in Pontiac, MI, the son of the late Ronald E. and Barbara J Deane Smith. He was a retired material handler for Danfoss Company. Tom was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the US Airforce. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Charles Strube of Michigan.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Nancy Uhl Smith of Hopkinsville; his brother, William E Smith and his wife Shawnee, of Washington State; his sisters, Jeannie Smith Dorris and her husband Larry of California, Colleen Smith Turner and her husband Edward of Canada, and Dianne Smith Strube of Michigan.
