A Christian County man was charged with theft after he reportedly took a package off of a doorstep on Clark Avenue in Hopkinsville Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say 35-year-old Deonta Johnson took the package off the doorstep of a home he had previously been given a trespass warning for and hid the package between a trash can and a wall. The package was reportedly containing children’s shoes valued at $139.
He was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal trespassing, theft of mail matter, and tampering with physical evidence.
