A Hopkinsville man was charged after he reportedly fled from police after a wreck on South Fowler Avenue Thursday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they responded to a hit-and-run collision involving 45-year-old Ivory Alphonzo who fled the area.
He reportedly showed up later asking a homeowner why his vehicle was towed. When police arrived he allegedly fled on foot before being taken into custody.
Police say he was found to have a bag of suspected marijuana in his pocket and also had a suspended license, no proof of insurance, and the registration plate was from another vehicle.
He was arrested and charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police, leaving the scene of an accident, possession of marijuana, display of an illegal or altered registration plate, failure to produce an insurance card, and operating on a suspended or revoked license.
