A Hope man was charged Thursday afternoon in connection to a burglary at a Hopkinsville Church.
Hopkinsville Police say on October 22nd 29-year-old Jontel Harris climbed onto the roof of Cumberland Presbyterian Church on Faircourt Street and then broke four windows to get into the building.
He reportedly took a TV out of the church but dropped two of his cell phones before fleeing the area.
Police say Harris admitted to breaking into the church and stated he did it while he was under the influence of drugs.
He was also found to have active warrants for theft by deception and receiving stolen property. Harris was charged with third-degree burglary and second-degree criminal mischief in connection to the church burglary.
