While the funds for this year’s Willie Renshaw’s Warm the Children campaign through the Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club have been collected, the club is looking for donations to kick-start the 2024 effort.
Club member Nikki Chambers tells Your News Edge they are in the 28th year of this program, which was brought to Hopkinsville by Renshaw, who passed away in 2021.
Chambers adds there are multiple ways to donate money to the program.
The Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club says that over $400,000 has been raised, and 4,500 children have been outfitted with new clothes over the last 27 years. Children for this year’s effort were selected by the family resource centers from schools in Christian County.
