A Cadiz man was charged with drug possession along with DUI after a traffic stop on Interstate 24 in Trigg County Monday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff Aaron Acree says 32-year-old Erskine Willis was stopped for going 17 mph over the limit and failing to maintain his lane of travel.
During the stop, he reportedly showed several signs of being under the influence and became very irritated.
Acree says he consented to a search of his vehicle and a white pill and a white powder substance were found.
He was arrested and charged with DUI, speeding, reckless driving, failure to produce an insurance card, first-degree possession of a controlled substance (drug unspecified), and failure to notify of an address change to the Department of Transportation.
