Zelma Fay Young Sewell, 86, of Hopkinsville, Kentucky died at 6:40 a.m., Monday, December 4, 2023, at her home in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2023, at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West with Rev. Andy Haley officiating. Burial will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A native of Caruthersville, Missouri she was born on August 31, 1937 the daughter of the late Brigham Young and Eula Wilbanks Young.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Ray Sewell, and her son, Scott Ray Sewell.
Survivors include her grandson: Tony Ray Sewell of Trenton, Kentucky; her great-grandchildren, Jacob Sewell, Talon Sewell, Isabelle Sewell, and Nicholas Sewell; her siblings, Buddy Young of Missouri and Carol Fry of Illinois.
