Lyon County’s girls are closing in on a 20-win season after rallying for a 67-62 victory at Union County on Tuesday night.
Trailing 26-25 at halftime and 42-40 after three quarters, the Lady Lyons outscored the Bravettes 27-20 in the fourth period to capture a 67-62 triumph.
Piper Cotham had 24 points and Trinity Taylor added 17 for Lyon, which is now 18-9 on the season.
Lilly Perry added nine points for the Lady Lyons, who finish the regular season Friday at home against Carlisle County before hosting Trigg County next week in the 5th District tournament.
Lillian Goodloe had 25 points to lead Union. Paige Steward and Dana Curry each added 10 for the Bravettes (13-12).
The Lady Lyons outscored Union by 12 points at the free throw line. Lyon was 21 of 29 at the stripe while the Bravettes were 9 of 12.
