A Hopkinsville man was charged after he allegedly assaulted a family member over a cell phone on Pembroke Road Tuesday night.
Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say 18-year-old Jaden Johnson got into a fight with family members over taking his great-grandmother’s phone and he threw the phone damaging it then threw a rock hitting a family member in the head.
After further investigation, he was also reportedly found to have stolen two of his grandfather’s firearms and sold them for money and narcotics.
Johnson was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, second-degree assault – domestic violence, and two counts of theft by unlawful taking – firearm.
