An Owensboro man has been charged in connection to a robbery at the Dollar General on West 7th Street in Hopkinsville that happened Friday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say Maurice Watkins entered the store armed with a gun and took money from the register before fleeing the area on foot.
Watkins was taken into custody with the assistance of Henderson Police Department, Owensboro Police Department, and the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office.
He is charged with first-degree robbery in Hopkinsville and is facing other robbery charges in other counties across Kentucky.
