A Guthrie man was charged with possession of drugs after a request to check his welfare on North Main Street in Hopkinsville Tuesday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to the Dollar General to check on 61-year-old Jerry Mullen who was seen snorting something up his nose while in a vehicle.
He reportedly had an expired tag which had been altered with a marker.
Police say after a search of his belongings, white round pills and straws with some residue inside of them were found.
He was arrested and charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of meth, display of an illegal or altered registration plate, and public intoxication.
