Juvenile Killed, Three Women Injured in Madisonville Head-On Collision

A head-on collision on Nebo Road in Madisonville Monday night claimed the life of a juvenile and injured three women.

Madisonville Police report the wreck occurred in the 4000 block shortly before 9:00 when a vehicle driven by 34-year old Jessica Settle of Manitou was traveling northbound, crossed the center line, and struck a southbound car driven by 40-year old Amy Hirsch of Hopkinsville, head-on.

Police said a passenger in Hirsch’s vehicle, 25-year old Ashley Foster was extricated by the Madisonville Fire Department. Foster and Hirsch were transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Deaconess Emergency Room for treatment of injuries.

According to police, both Settle and a female juvenile in her vehicle were also transported by ambulance to Baptist Health Deaconess Emergency Room for treatment of injuries. Police said the juvenile was later pronounced dead.

Kentucky State Police, Manitou Fire Department, Medical Center Ambulance Service, Providence EMS, and the Kentucky State Highway Department assisted Madisonville Police on the scene.
