Evelyna “Kitty” Jones Sellers, age 84, of Hopkinsville, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville, TN. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home on Friday, October 25, 2024, with burial to follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, October 25, 2024, from 11:00 AM until the service hour at 1:00 PM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Mrs. Sellers was born in Harlan County, KY, on January 6, 1940, the daughter of the late Bert and Edna Mason Jones. She was a member of Little River Church of Christ and was a former waitress, babysitter, and homemaker. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Thomas “Tommy” Higgins, her three brothers, Dorris, Billy, and Raymond Jones; her three sisters, Donna Jones, Roberta Stewart, and Marie Haas; and her grandson, Christopher M. Baker.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Norman R. Sellers of Hopkinsville; her son, Randy (Marcia) Sellers of Woodville, AL; her daughters, Cindy Lynn (Richard) Baker of Hopkinsville, Pam (Paul) Adcock of Hopkinsville; her brother, Bobby (Brenda) Jones of Hopkinsville; her sister, Imogene Dulin of Hopkinsville; her ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren.
Instead of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in her memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
