Shelia Kyle Rogers, age 76, of Cadiz, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Bradford Heights Nursing and Rehab Center in Hopkinsville, KY.
She was born on June 28, 1948, in Springfield, IL, to the late Charles & Girlie Vincent Kyle.
Shelia served as a social worker with the Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services, retiring with 25 years of committed service.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Shelia found joy in expressing herself through journaling and music, lending her voice to sing gospel earlier in life. She could often be found with knitting needles in hand or enjoying a game on her iPad.
Shelia was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Rogers, Sr., in 2008.
She is survived by her sisters, Elaine Fulkerson (Barry) of Cadiz and Phyllis Sue Gentry (Lindell) of Madison, WI; her brothers, Jeffrey Kyle (Dot) of Central City, KY, and Charles Kyle of Lexington, KY; and beloved nieces and nephews, Tyler Gentry (Faith), Rachel Gentry, Nathan Gentry (Emmie), Adam Kyle, Nicholas Kyle, and Jeana Thresher (Steven).
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, October 24, 2024, with Rev. Cody Crowell officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be at 2:00 p.m. EDT, Friday, October 25, 2024, in Green Meadow Memorial Cemetery, 3800 Shanks Lane, Louisville, KY.
