A Crofton man was charged with punching a deputy during an arrest on East Princeton Street Friday afternoon.

Christian County Sheriff’s deputies say they went to the home for 52-year-old Charlie Taylor, who was violating a domestic violence order that states he must stay 500 feet away from the home.

He was reportedly given several chances to get dressed and come outside, but instead, he resisted arrest and started punching a deputy.

He was arrested and charged with third-degree assault of a police officer, resisting arrest, and violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO.
