It’s the dream of gamers and actors alike to be immortalized in a video game.
Lucas Hyde, a Cadiz native and Trigg County High School graduate, spent nearly six years in Los Angeles before returning home, where career opportunities are pouring in like never before.
Nearly two years ago, Hyde’s dream came true when he was cast as Callum Payne in the newly released ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 6.’
The Call of Duty series, produced by Activision Blizzard, is one of the most popular in America – ranking as the best-selling video game in the United States from 2009-2012, 2014-2017, and again from 2019-2022.
Hyde said when he worked with Activision in Los Angeles, he was unsure how much of his work would be featured in the game.
Despite the game’s release on October 25th, Hyde hasn’t had the opportunity to play his character extensively.
Hyde is currently involved in Netflix’s upcoming series, ‘Waterfront’ – written and executive-produced by Kevin Williamson. The series, starring Holt McCallany and Maria Bello, is filming in North Carolina.
Hyde’s career has been filled with incredible moments, including his work as a stunt double for Channing Tatum
When in Cadiz, you might spot him filming local events like the Trigg County Country Ham Festival. His ultimate goal is to direct films that capture the rich history of the region.
