Local law enforcement took several children to the store in their cruisers while showing off their lights for Shop With A Cop Wednesday night.

Hopkinsville Lodge No. 12 Fraternal Order of Police President Michael Velez says 28 children were taken in cruisers to go shopping with law enforcement.

The children shop for their entire family with the help from law enforcement on picking the best gifts.

Velez says he would like to thank the community and Walmart for their help in this event and their patience during the escort to the store.

Law enforcement from Hopkinsville Police Department, Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Oak Grove Police, The Christian County Jail, and Fort Campbell Police escorted the children to Walmart on Clinic Drive in Hopkinsville.
