Joe Malone, 73, of Cadiz

Funeral services for 73-year-old Joe Malone, of Cadiz, will be held 1 PM Tuesday, January 14, at King’s Funeral Home.

Burial will follow in Trigg Memory Acres.

Visitation will begin at 11 AM.

Survivors include:
A son, Jeff Oliver, Cadiz;
A daughter, Kim Watkins (Billy), Cadiz;
A sister, Dorothy Sumner (Tony), of Florida;
Ten grandchildren, Dustin Watkins, of Cadiz, Jennifer Cail (Roman), of Cadiz, Kristen Watkins, of Cadiz, Hunter Oliver, of Hopkinsville, Matthew Oliver, of Finland, Micah Morris, of Cadiz, Mitchell Morris, of Indianapolis, Jimmy Lewis, of Hopkinsville, Nicholas Watkins, of Cadiz, Jacob Egan, of Ohio;
Five great grandchildren, Braylyn Harper, Weston Smillie, Henley Watkins, Keaton Cail and Bexton Lewis, all of Cadiz;
And several nieces and nephews, Shelley Malone, Glenda Grant (Daren), Tony Malone, all of Cadiz, Anita Malone Long, of Texas, Doug Malone, of Oklahoma, Amber Portello, of Florida, Brittney Sumner, Florida, and Jonah Sumner, of Florida.

Rev. Steve Hardy is officiating.

He was born September 21, 1951, in Cadiz, to the late Clarence Thomas “Bus” Malone and Ercel Isabelle Herndon Malone.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Malone; sister, Mary Westbrook; two brothers, Ray Malone and Glenn Malone; niece, Sierra Westbrook.

He died Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was a member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church where he enjoyed being a greeter. He was a truck driver most of his life retiring from McIntosh Construction in Clarksville, Tennessee, and after retiring he worked for Isom Brothers.

He was a member of Cadiz Masonic Lodge 121 and a Shriner. He loved fishing and spending time with his family.
