Steve Schueneman, age 54, of Kuttawa, Kentucky, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.
He was born on July 1, 1970, in Brookfield, Wisconsin, a son of the late Neil Schueneman and the late Diane Vallier Pennycuff.
Steve spent the majority of his career in Wisconsin, where he worked as a furniture assembler. After moving to Kentucky and settling near Lake Barkley, he worked at TreeHouse Foods in Princeton and served as a Walmart delivery driver.
An avid animal lover, Steve had a gift for breaking and working with horses, and his home was a haven for many rescued dogs. He was a Looney Tunes fan and loved spending time with his family as “Papa”.
Steve is survived by his wife of 18 years, Alice Goessl Schueneman of Kuttawa, KY; daughters, Tabitha Stroede of Cadiz, KY, Christina Stroede of Kuttawa, and Terry Jo Goessl; a son, Joshua Stroede of Kuttawa; his granddaughters, Kayona, Berlinda, and Adrianna; and his brothers, Grant Schueneman (Laura) of Waukesha, WI and Todd Schueneman (Renee) of Delafield, WI.
A memorial service to honor Steve’s life will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are being handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main Street in Cadiz.
