A Cadiz man was charged with trafficking drugs during a death investigation on Oak Grove Church Road Saturday afternoon.
Trigg County Sheriff’s deputies say they were called to the home for Stacey Canada who was deceased and located the homeowner 48-year-old James Bustamante who claimed they had been smoking meth.
Meth along with drug paraphernalia with meth residue on it and a shotgun were reportedly located in the home.
Deputies say Bustamante appeared to have knowledge that Canada was trafficking drugs and gave him the means and opportunity to commit the crime.
Bustamante was arrested and charged with tampering with physical evidence, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and facilitation of trafficking meth.
