Vannah Latham, age 90, passed away surrounded by love and family on February 2, 2025, of natural causes.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 8th at 1:00 pm with Brother Leroy Crouch officiating at Lakeview Baptist Church, 2755 Vaughns Grove Fairview Rd, Pembroke, Kentucky 42266. Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home is assisting in the arrangements.
Vannah was born on December 16, 1934, in Whitesburg, Tennessee, and was a resident of Pembroke, Kentucky. She worked as a sales associate for Dillard’s Department Store, winning awards repeatedly for many years as a top sales associate. For those who knew and loved her, she was the sweetest, most thoughtful, and caring Wife, Mother, Grandee, and Friend anyone could ever have. Vannah had a smile that would light up any room and truly infectious laughter. Her joy and warmth touched the hearts of everyone around her, leaving behind cherished memories of happiness and love. Throughout her life, Vannah was blessed with many friends in many places including The Margarita Girls of Clarksville. She was the last surviving member of The Fabulous Five, a group of five close-knit friends who created an atmosphere of fun and fellowship. The bonds they shared were passed down to their children, and from that circle, a second generation of lasting friendships flourished, continuing her legacy of love and connection.
Mrs. Latham is survived by her brother Ben (Linda) Graves, her children Cheryl (Terry) Cook, Greg Davis, Cindy (Scott) Peck, Jeff (Robin) Davis, her seven grandchildren, Callie (Kyle) Lyon, Dylan Davis, Grace (Bryan) Rivlin, Cody Peck, Savannah Peck, Sarah Davis, Emily Davis, and her four great-grandchildren, Lexi Lyon, Layla Clayton, Sam Lyon, and Montana Rivlin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Blanche Graves, her sister, Sue Harville, and her husband, Jim Latham.
Instead of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Pennyroyal Hospice Inc., 220 Burley Ave, Hopkinsville, KY.
