A woman was charged after she reportedly assaulted an employee at McDonald’s along with fighting with officers during her arrest on North Drive Wednesday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called for 41-year-old Shirlene Pendleton, who got mad over falling in the restaurant and hit the general manager in the back of the head before pulling her hair.
Police say she had a strong odor of alcohol coming from her and was screaming and yelling and would not stop.
Pendleton reportedly got into a vehicle, locked the door, and rolled the windows up when officers tried to arrest her, then refused to put her hands behind her back when they got her out of the vehicle.
Police say an officer suffered injuries to his elbow during the scuffle with Pendleton.
Pendleton was arrested and charged with fourth-degree assault, alcohol intoxication in a public place, second-degree disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and third-degree assault of a police officer.
