Thelma Hendricks, age 74, of Cadiz, Kentucky, beloved wife and mother, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Friday, February 21, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born on December 17, 1950, in Michigan, to the late Beatrice Oliver Choate, Thelma had six brothers and sisters. She married Robert Hendricks on September 16, 1968, and they shared 56 wonderful years together. Thelma was a loving mother to their four daughters, April Dawn, Laura Michelle, Janetta Gayle, and Chasity Dawn, who were her pride and joy. She always said their births changed her life for the better, and they felt that in the love and support she provided.
Thelma worked as the store manager of Toy Liquidators and Banister Shoes, both formerly in Eddyville. She was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church and loved her church family. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading, and word puzzles. She loved the joys of Christmas and treasured spending time with her family as “Grandma T.”
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, April Dawn Hendricks; two grandsons, Jake Ryan Yates and Shawn Hardrick; a brother, Melvin Choate; her grandmother, Susie Oliver; and her mother-in-law, Agnes Aleshire.
Thelma is survived by her husband, Robert Hendricks; their three daughters, Laura Hendricks, Janetta Hendricks (Ron Meisler), and Chasity Hendricks; five grandchildren, Christopher Hardrick (Charlene), Kaitlyn Flowers (Clifton), Warren Jones, Phillip Jones, and April Keel (Levi Brandenburg); and 11 great-grandchildren, Wyatt Suits, Kiley Flowers, Cheyenne Suits, Wesley Hardrick, Xavier Flowers, Bennett Jones, Corbin Flowers, Lila Jones, Riley Jones, Chase Hardrick, and Addelyn Brandenburg..
Funeral services will be at Goodwin Funeral Home, 138 Main Street in Cadiz, at 1:00 PM, Monday, February 24, 2025, with Bro. Gary Lambert officiating. Burial will follow in Wall Cemetery in Wallonia. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
