Rodney Temple, Jr., age 79, of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at his home of natural causes. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, March 6, 2025, at Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home and burial to follow in Rawlins Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the service hour at 11:00 AM. Maddux-Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home has been entrusted by the family to handle the arrangements.
Rodney was born on September 1, 1945, in Hopkinsville, KY, the son of the late Rodney M. Temple, Sr. and Georgie Marie Rawlins Duvall. He worked as a factory worker, welder, and security guard. Rodney proudly served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam Era. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his stepfather, Charels E. Duvall.
Survivors include two sons, one daughter, his brothers, Ricky Temple of Illinois, Rex Temple of Hopkinsville, and his very special friend, Lyndia Simpson, of Hopkinsville.
