Barring any additional school closures for severe weather, the Class of 2025 will graduate on May 23rd in Christian County.
The Board of Education approved the graduation date Thursday night at a regular workshop meeting. Christian County High School will graduate first this year at 5 pm, with Hopkinsville High School’s graduation to follow at 8:30 pm. Both will again take place at the Stadium of Champions with alternate locations at the respective high schools for rain.
In other business, the School Board voted to sell six buses that are at the end of their depreciation. The district will utilize the Kentucky Inter-local School Transportation Association, or KISTA, to facilitate the sales.
CCHS Parent, Sandy Mullins voiced concerns about students having to wait outside of the school in the morning.

Meanwhile, Trane Representatives presented the district energy savings report, with Justin Page saying the district has seen a 30% energy reduction.
