Cecil Farmer, 76, of Carlisle

Cecil Thomas Farmer, 76, Oxbow Road, Carlisle, KY, formerly of Hopkinsville, KY, passed away Friday, March 7, 2025, at Baptist Health Lexington of natural causes.

A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at House of Hope, Nortonville, KY, with Rev. Raymond Farmer officiating. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Visitation will be from noon until the service hour on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the church.

A native of Christian County, KY, he was born July 27, 1948, the son of the late Cecil Thomas Farmer, Sr. and the late Olivia Mae (Hall) Whitehouse.

Cecil was a supervisor at Trane and had also worked at Ebonite. He was of the Christian faith, a member of the NRA, and various fishing clubs.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye Curd Farmer; his son, Kevin Wayne Farmer; his brothers, Cliff Whitehouse, Walter Whitehouse, Ronnie Whitehouse, and Joe Whitehouse; and his sisters, Carolyn Denny, Mary Mattingly, and Gayle Moss.

Survivors include his son, Chris (Lynn) Farmer, Hopkinsville, KY; his daughter-in-law, Karen Farmer, Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers, Donnie (Donna) Whitehouse, Louisville, KY, Raymond (Marlene) Farmer, Christian County, KY; his sister, Cecilia (Don) Gray, Princeton, KY; 4 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren; and extended family, his stepchildren, Butch (Krystal) Bashaw and Anita Bashaw-Seale, both of Mount Sterling, KY; 7 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
