A Hopkinsville man was charged with identity theft after he reportedly provided officers false information on South Main Street Tuesday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were at the Manhattan Motel investigating a report of an assault and located 36-year-old Nolan Maskall, who fit the description of the possible suspect.
He reportedly initially gave the officer false identifying information and was later found to have been given a trespass warning last year to stay away from the property.
Maskall was arrested and charged with theft of identity, first-degree criminal trespass, and giving officers false identifying information.
