I began my broadcasting career in the summer of 1979 after graduating from Trigg County High School working for WKDZ. My first solo on the air was on July 4, 1979. I attended Murray State University and graduated in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in Communications with an Accounting minor.
I have worked for WKDZ, WKMS, WHOP and WHVO radio stations in various capacities for over 30+ years. I have done play-by-play work for Christian County, Fort Campbell and Trigg County sports over the years and currently am the public address announcer for Christian County football, basketball and baseball games.
I have served as community services coordinator for Western State Hospital in Hopkinsville since 1998.
I enjoy sports and am a fan of the Murray State Racers, Cincinnati Reds, Tennessee Titans and Nashville Predators.
You can join me midday weekdays and Saturdays 3-5 PM on WHVO. I would love to meet you at some of our many community broadcasts!
I am a member of the Kiwanis Club of Hopkinsville and served as president in 2007-2008. I am a member of Edgewood Baptist Church. My wife Kathy and I, reside in Hopkinsville and have one son, Will.
